    LinkedIn Expert

A LinkedIn expert is a professional who guides organisations in building presence, content strategy, paid advertising and lead generation on the business network. In practice the role splits into three: strategic consulting for management, practical training for the team, and ongoing management of the activity.

    Three ways to work together

Consulting and strategy — mapping the audience, building the customer journey, defining the metrics and charting a work plan. Suits an organisation that has a team but lacks direction.

Workshops and training — practical training for marketing and sales teams: profile building, content strategy, Sales Navigator, paid campaigns and measurement. Suits an organisation that wants in-house capability.

Ongoing guidance and management — full management of the activity, organic and paid. Suits an organisation that wants results without building a department.

    Who is behind this

Ziv Sheinfeld has been guiding organisations on LinkedIn since founding Z Digital House in 2011. He lectures at the Ono Academic College in digital marketing and social media courses, and co-hosts Mastermind with Barak Finkelstein — a podcast on LinkedIn and B2B marketing. He writes columns on the subject in ICE and in the AskPavel community.

Before Z Digital House he served as digital marketing manager of the Blue Square Group and as a manager in Partner's marketing division.

What sets a real expert apart?

Not familiarity with the interface — that can be learned in a week. Three things:

Experience with deals that closed, not only campaigns that ran. That is the difference between someone reporting impressions and someone who knows what happened to the leads afterwards.

The ability to say no. An expert who says LinkedIn suits every business has not examined your business.

Continuity over time. The platform changes every quarter. Anyone who learned it three years ago is learning it again.
